TO THE WONDERFUL TEACHERS THAT SUPPORTED DEA IN 2009, THANK YOU! The Talent that was displayed at DEA's three Nationals this year was spectacular!!! Splendid Contemporary routines performed by groups and solos - elaborate tap productions - jazz from classic style to Fosse, plus exciting and clever Hip/Hop movements. One of our esteemed judges, Fran Peters, was quoted "The ballet work rivaled any Ballet Competition and the amount of Pointe work displayed were of a professional caliber." Every teacher commented, they were elated to have received the DVDs with the judges’ comments from the DRC Video Company. DEA is committed to providing the finest dance education to our members. Video Judge is the ultimate competitive dance adjudication tool in the industry. Every participating studio at all DEA locations in 2010 will receive Video Judge. DEA's family reunion grows more and more every year due to the emphasis DEA asserts on dance education. The many dance classes and different styles offered from our faculty members at DEA workshops help students enter the world of show business. In Orlando for the President's Cup, there was a three way tie. At the Grand Hyatt in New York City, DEA presented the "Teacher of the Year" award to Dorothy Medico for her pupil that is appearing in "Billy Elliot." Every teacher commended DEA for their new home at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas and are looking forward to a return in 2010. In these troubled times, thank you teachers for your continued attendance and support of DEA. We will always strive to give you the best in dance education!
